It’s such an honor to select wines for members of the Crush Collection, and we are incredibly grateful to you for trusting us!

We’ve come to that time of year again where we need to consider all of the shipping variables that rising temperatures across the country add to the mix, and as such, the March/April Crush Collection will be our club last shipment until early fall. But we didn’t want to leave you hanging without access to some great porch and pool pounders!

We’re planning a HUGE  blow out sale to keep you stocked up for the whole summer with wines you already know and love! And when we say this sale is going to be huge, we really mean it’s going to be MAJOR!

So be on the lookout for an email with all of the details you need to know, and then get ready to act!!

Special Bordeaux Edition Crush Collection

Special Bordeaux Edition Crush Collection

If you've arrived at this page, you are one of the select few to receive the special Crush Collection to kick off 2022! As the letter stated, here you can find a little more information about each of these wines to help you enjoy them with family, friends and festivities!

The Beau Vigne is one of our favorite whites we’ve offered since we launched the Crush Collection. A typical white Bordeaux is Sauvignon Blanc with a little Semillon added. The Sémillon adds richness to the crisp Sauvignon Blanc and together they deliver floral, tropical fruit and citrus aromas with a hint of vanilla. This wine is a perfect accompaniment to a cheese plate. Check out the tasting notes video here and you can read more about Bordeaux Blanc wine style here.

We chose to include the Pivot Merlot because we believe it showcases some of the classic notes to expect in the often under-rated Merlot. It is one of the main red varietals included in a red Bordeaux from France, especially those from the right bank regions of Saint Émilion and Pomerol. This wine is full of bright red fruits like strawberry and cherry along with a velvet mouth feel! It has a long finish and will benefit from about 30 minutes of decanting. It’s a versatile wine that can pair with anything from a vegetarian dish to a steak. Find the tasting notes video here.

I'll also mention that for this wine we created our own label. The name 'Pivot' was our producer’s clever idea because we've all gotten used to pivoting sine 2020. With that name in mind, our graphic designer created the label to illustrate the many faces of pivoting.

A Bordeaux-theme wouldn’t be complete without the popular Cabernet Sauvignon, and this Orinda Hayes is delicious! Like Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon is a main component of most red Bordeaux’s, but it’s more abundant in wines from the famous left bank regions of Margaux, Pauillac, St-Estèphe and St. Julien. This wine has alluring aromas of ripe blueberries, black cherry, star anise and baking spices that make this Cabernet Sauvignon the perfect choice for both those new to wine and those who are seasoned Cab lovers! Check out the "Pair with Mere" recipe to go with this wine here.

We hope you enjoy these wines and the occasions you pair with them! Cheers!

Artist Series January / February 2022: Debbie Dannheisser

Artist Series January / February 2022: Debbie Dannheisser

At the start of brand new year, it feels like such an honor to be able to spend all of our time around so much beauty and creativity. The world of wine is filled with imagery and wonder. From the vines, to the winemakers and each vintage they create, we are always humbled by every layer of the experience.  And whenever we find a wine with no name or label that we decide to share with our closest friends, we want the artwork on the label to express something before the cork is even pulled.

That is what our Artist Series is all about…

As the saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words. Such is the case with artwork of our latest featured artist, Debbie Dannheisser. It would impossible to put into words the feelings and emotions her vast collection of fine art inspires in an onlooker. The movement, the color, and the diversity of her creativity is endless. So when she opened up her portfolio to us so we could find the perfect labels for two of the wines we exclusively curated for you this month, the experience was a wonderful diversion into her world.

It is with great pleasure we introduce you to our beautiful and talented friend who has helped us make two of the wines in the January / February 2022 Crush Collection works of art you can experience in your soul!

Artist Bio: Beginning as a self taught artist, Debbie has devoted years refining her techniques and enriching her style.  The decorative and artistic appeal of her paintings have been widely accepted, resulting in her work being successfully used in both corporate and residential settings. Her universal use of colors makes her work ideal for almost any setting.
