INTERN LOG: Day One
INTERN NAME: Crush
ASSIGNED TASKS: Be a good boy
It’s my first official day at Major Crush and so far, I like being "Crush the Intern."
I get lots of praise for “sleeping on the job” and taking as many potty breaks as I need. I only made two misses today (so far), which is a big deal to my manager, it seems. I know this because I got a yummy thing to chew on until my jaw got tired, and I keep hearing “Good Boy, Crush!” whenever I “go” outside.
But I know the job is going to get tougher soon, and I think my first real task will be to learn all of the Major Crush brand identifies and then help my manager with this big box of something she calls “podcast recording equipment.” Not sure what any of that means, but each day, I think I'll learn a little more.
I’ve only seen my boss, Chase Griffin, Director of K-9 Relations, on video so far. He was inspecting a vineyard — which I hope to do one day, too. He makes it all look so fun and easy. He’s going to be a good boss (I can already tell!)
But my favorite part of my internships so far is saying hello to new friends and giving them kisses to make them feel welcome. That’s what you do when you’re an intern for a company that likes people to get connected and chat about wine. I’m told I'll never be authorized to be near any wine whatsoever. (I could spill it and make a mess, plus...I'm a dog!) But the people drinking the wine are my favorite part anyway!
