NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2021 Written Tasting Notes by Mere & Lou

In case you need a quick reference to the tasting notes for this collection, we've got you covered!

2020 Stormy Edges Chenin Blanc Viognier

This unique 50-50 blend of Chenin Blanc and Viognier offers a complex white wine experience. The Chenin Blanc emits honey aromatics without making it sweet on the palate, while the Viognier adds floral and peach notes and a round mouthfeel. This is an ideal wine to pair with a cheese plate or a leftover Thanksgiving turkey sandwich.

2019 Three Places Pinot Noir

This classic Sonoma Pinot Noir is bursting with red cherry and strawberry balanced by earthy and mushroom notes. The bright acidity of this wine makes it food friendly and of course, a perfect compliment to your Thanksgiving turkey.

2015 Volante Zinfandel

Blueberry, blackberry and raspberry will all jump from your glass, along with hints of vanilla from the oak aging. There is a beautiful structure to this wine that leaves the deliciousness lingering on your palate for days. Pair this with anything from the grill or smoker. We suggest decanting it for about hour to an hour and a half before drinking.

In the All Red Collection...

2016 Volante Cabernet Franc

We call this a cozy wine meant for a cool night! This wine is like velvet on the palate and showcases all the desired nuances of a Cabernet Franc—plum, red currant, strawberry, pepper and a dash of chocolate. This wine will hold up to a meat-based meal or a hearty winter squash dish. We suggest decanting it for about hour to an hour and a half before drinking.
